ScifiSci Fi and TNT have lined up their respective December plans, which include a handful of original movies and mini-series as well as the season finales of some of their flagship series.

The former's big push is the three-night, six-hour mini-series "The Lost Room," which airs Monday-Wednesday, December 11-13 at 9:00/8:00c with encores at 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. ET each night as well as a marathon of all three parts on Sunday, December 17 starting at 5:00/4:00c. Here's how the network describes the project, which stars Peter Krause, Julianna Margulies, Elle Fanning and Kevin Pollak among others: "Scattered across the globe are approximately 100 everyday objects that possess incredible powers. A COMB that can stop time. A PEN that will incinerate anything it touches. And a KEY that allows any door to access the MOTEL ROOM, the point of origin for all the OBJECTS. When police detective Joe Miller [PETER Krause] becomes the newest owner of the KEY he finds himself the target of others who seek the objects; secret groups with their own hidden agendas. When his young daughter disappears in the MOTEL ROOM, he is drawn deeper and deeper into the mystery of the OBJECTS and the ultimate secret of The Lost Room."

Meanwhile, Sci Fi will wrap the first half of "Battlestar Galactica's" third season on Friday, December 15 at 9:00/8:00c while "Doctor Who" will close its second season with a two-hour finale on Friday, December 22 at 8:00/7:00c. Finally, look for the original movie "Dead and Deader," starring Dean Cain and Susan Ward, on Saturday, December 16 at 9:00/8:00c.

As for TNT, the cable channel will offer up a special two-hour installment of "The Closer" on Monday, December 4 at 8:00/7:00c. Kevin Bacon, husband of series star Kyra Sedgwick, directed the second hour.

And on the original movie front, look for "The Librarian 2: Return to King Solomon's Mines," the sequel to 2004's popular telefilm, on Sunday, December 3 at 8:00/7:00c, and "A Perfect Day," the network's latest Johnson & Johnson-sponsored original, on Monday, December 18 at 8:00/7:00c. Rob Lowe stars in the project, about "a man who, after being fired from his job, pursues his lifetime dream of writing a novel. But after he achieves enormous success with his book, he loses track of the things he loves the most, only finding his way after a stranger enters his life."
