 Battlestar Galactica executive producer David Eick is teaming up with director Jonathan Mostow and writer John McNamara to develop Them, an SF alien-invasion series for the Fox network, Variety reported.
The hourlong drama will also be executive-produced by Circle of Confusion's David Engel and David Alpert via CBS Paramount Network Television, the trade paper reported.
The project is based on the graphic novel Six, written by Michael Oeming and Daniel Berman. Eick and McNamara (Profit) are writing the script for the TV take and are executive-producing with Mostow (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines). Mostow is also attached to direct in his first major foray into television.
The basic premise of Them involves a sleeper cell of extraterrestrial terrorists who take the shape of humans. Their mission is compromised when they start experiencing human emotions, which act like a drug on the aliens.
