Ronald D. Moore, executive producer of the SCI FI Channel’s mega-hit “Battlestar Galactica” took fans to the mat in Anaheim, CA at this past weekend’s WorldCON. Moore told fans that in this upcoming season of BSG, “We’re going to lose some people this year. Not all of our friends are going to make it all the way.” Not only that, but in true SCI FI Wrassling fashion he left everyone tied to the turnbuckle in a strangle-hold by refusing to be more specific as to who dies and who lives. All he would indicate as a followup was that the entire story arc for season three has been completed and some of our favorite characters won’t make it to the final bell.
He did leave fans with some exciting news however, concerning the DVD Season 2.5 release. The DVD set will include a special 90-minute version of the episode “Pegasus,” which ran only 60 minutes in its original broadcast slot. The special DVD will also include filmed “webisodes called,” Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance.” These two- or three-minute shorts, while not impinging on the full episode outcomes, will serve as a lead-in to the new season and, can be seen on SCIFI.com’s SCI FI Pulse broadband network twice weekly, starting the day after the U.S. Labor Day holiday on September 5, 2006. Moore believes that season three will be one of the most exciting yet for BSG fans. He knows that he got excited over the scripts submitted to him. “There’s nothing like reading a script and being surprised,” he said reflecting on the changes to take place this year. “It’s the experience of watching the show.” Look for the return of Season Three of “Battlestar Galactica” on October 6, 2006, 9PM ET/PT as a continued part of SCI FI Channel’s SciFi Fridays. Oh, by-the-way, how did you like all those wrestling terms? Just trying to make wrestling fans more comfortable on SCI FI. Yeah! OK! Post from Slice of Scifi Last update : 30-08-2006
