They are saying -- yes, those famous they -- that model-actress Tricia Helfer had some enhancements made before her recent Playboy shoot.
Spreading great geek love to all those who adore her as an evil machine in TV's Battlestar Galactica, the Alberta-able stunner is featured in the Economist of girlie mags this month. And, to prepare, she's said to have stuffed her ballot, vis-a-vis this particular inauguration. Refurnished before throwing open this particular open house. Helped herself to some better straps before climbing this particular Mount Kilimanjaro. That's whey they say.
Speaking to Howard Stern last week about the 10-page spread of tasteful pics shot by Sante D'Orazio, this was what the model-actress herself had to say: Duh. Of course not. If she had had a boost, they would be a lot bigger.
Meanwhile, Helfer, who isn't returning to the bosom of Canada's Next Top Model next season -- too busy, she says -- is responsible for some behind-the-scenes domino action on the homegrown show. The new host, Toronto-raised Jay Manuel -- a friend of the original Top Model Tyra Banks -- has resulted in some reshuffling with some of the other show's personalities. One of the judges, local tastemaker and gadabout Paul Venoit isn't returning to the deck because, as one insider explains, with the addition of Jay "they can't have two flamboyant stylist types."
Jeanne Beker, the veteran host of Fashion Television, is said to be safe. But whether or not another judge, model Stacey McKenzie, will make it on air remains up in the air!
"They're doing auditions right no w," I was told. But timing is of the essence, since the show supposedly starts its taping in March.
But none of this is Tricia's problem right now. Luxuriating in the publicity afterglow of her Playboy art-project, she had a lot to say to Howard Stern. Like, how she once did it on a hotel balcony in Italy. Like, how she lost her virginity at age 16 and how she once kissed a girl, but only out of "curiosity." Like, how she isn't hot on sodomy, but that she is up for the occasional bout of "role playing."
Gosh. If only Tricia was half this exciting when she was hosting Canada's Next Top Model! She was always a little too vanilla, from where I stand -- especially compared to Tyra's deep, sinful chocolateness. In other words, the addition of new, hard-haired host Jay can only be a change for the better. Plus, his pecs aren't so bad either.
By the way: The Tyra-tastic U.S. version of the show starts its amazing eighth cycle at the end of February on Citytv.
