First fans were upset when Sci Fi announced that the fourth season of “Battlestar Galactica” was only going to be 13 episodes; now they have a much better reason to be upset. Rumors abound that if it does get picked up for a full 22 eps, the extra nine will be used to wrap up the series for realsies. Insert some line about it not being fair that “According to Jim” has gotten seven seasons and “BSG” might end after four…here. But it’s also definitely a show that has a beginning and end in mind; they can’t keep floating around forever (seems a little “Gilligan’s Island”) and once they get to Earth, well, I don’t think anyone’s eager for a redux of “Galactica 1980.” I’m totally bluffing, I’ve never seen “Galactica 1980,” but it sounds lame.
