Welcome to Galactica.com and GalacticaBBS.com. Galactica.com is a site designed for the fans of the show Battlestar Galactica currently airing on the Scifi Channel. The Site will feature news, blogs, episode guides, forum based community, convention info, merchandise info and even some original content.....
Galactica.com and GalacticaBBS.com (GBBS) are also the first sites to be part of the Trekunited Network. Simply put, Galactica.com’s member database is shared with the 4500 plus member master database on TrekUnited.com. This is done so that members of both sites can cross between the sites using the same user name and password; also this is done for mutual cross promotion reasons. If you are just a Galactica fan and don’t care about Star Trek you don’t have to use TrekUnited it is simply where the main database is held and the reverse is true if your a Trek fan and not a Galactica fan, hopefully like me your both. Our goal in building Galactica.com was to make a different site than TrekUnited in feel and atmosphere but yet have them connected so we can better service our members. Galactica.com & GalacticaBBS.com is primarily owned by: - Thomas Moore, co-owner and manager, Tom is the person responsible for setting up, building the site and making this all happen. Tom has played a part in the creation of several notable scifi sites over the past 3 years including TrekUnited.com and Scif-Studios.com to name a few. - Tim Brazeal, co-owner, Tim is the owner of TrekUnited and Scifi-Studios.com, and has played a big part in the Star Trek world (and scifi in general) by uniting fans and giving them a voice as well as working hard to promote Trek and Scifi wherever possible. We will be asking for help in the next couple weeks in some areas, look in our forums for that, as such there is still a lot of work that needs to be done, mostly involving content such as episode guides, cast bio’s, graphics etc.. as well as other area’s such as news and moderation. We are always looking for the latest news, and have a section on the forum were news can be submitted, if it is validated and put on the main site the person who posted it will get the credit for it. We will also be working with some other scifi news sites like www.scifisite.net and www.sliceofscifi.com for news as well.
